Dr. Wendy M. Purcell, Ph.D., FRSA

Dr. Wendy Purcell PhD FRSA is a Research Scholar with Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She leads research on global leadership and governance for sustainable transformation in higher education and business sectors. Dr. Purcell has authored over 100 academic publications and takes a keen interest in equity, diversity and inclusion, leadership and governance and sustainability. Her keynote discussion at PeopleConnect Live is entitled Navigating HED Futures: People with Purpose. Wendy will address how people are the most important resource in the higher education sector. As we navigate and adapt to the changes caused by COVID-19, we must champion equity, belonging, inclusion, and well-being. Dr. Shirley Davis

Dr. Shirley Davis is a Diversity & Inclusion global thought leader, President and CEO of SDS Global Enterprises, Inc., a certified leadership coach, and a former Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer for several major Fortune 100 companies. She is the author of the best-selling book, “Reinvent Yourself: Strategies for Achieving Success in Every Area of Your Life,” and “The Seat: How to Get Invited to the Table When You’re Over-Performing and Undervalued.” Dr. Davis’ keynote, Strategies for Recruiting, Engaging and Retaining Diverse Talent, will address the challenges of “the great resignation” and the increasing competition in the employer market. Dr. Davis will discuss some of the most significant demographic shifts of 2021 and beyond that will redefine the work, the workers, and the workplace. She will share real-world examples of how organizations are attracting, engaging, and retaining talent and transforming their organizations into great places to work.


Dr. Christopher D. Lee, Ph.D., SPHR

Dr. Christopher D. Lee, Chief Human Resources Officer at the College of William and Mary, is the inventor of the pioneering Performance Conversations method, a performance improvement system that replaces the outdated appraisal. He is the author of numerous HR related articles and chapters, and four books.
