PeopleAdmin Announces Annual Customer Award Winners
Austin, TX – November 9, 2021 – PeopleAdmin, the leading provider of talent management solutions for higher education, is excited to announce the recipients of its annual customer awards. These awards are an opportunity to recognize and honor the exceptional work of HigherEd leaders across the country, driving innovation at their institution and impacting the people on their campuses.
PeopleAdmin HR Transformation Award
The HR Transformation Award recognizes a higher education leader who has made significant strides in transforming, digitizing or innovating the way their HR team works to better service the staff, faculty, and mission of the institution. Congratulations to this year’s recipient, Nicole Credle of Morgan State University.
Nicole is upgrading her campus’ environment to accommodate a more virtual overall environment. The Morgan State team was a few years into using PeopleAdmin’s ATS when COVID prompted a digital shift. This helped Nicole’s team navigate the transition to remote work without sacrificing customer service and response times. Nicole has taken that a step farther by bringing that seamless digital experience beyond the recruiting and hiring phase, and into onboarding and managing.
PeopleAdmin Technology Innovation Award
The Technology Innovation Award recognizes a higher education leader who is using technology and digital solutions in new, different, or innovative ways. We’re glad to congratulate this year’s winners, Tina Vumbaco from the State University System of New York (SUNY) System Office and Gary Evans from SUNY Cortland.
Tina and Gary have partnered with PeopleAdmin to provide integration between their PeopleAdmin platform and the SUNY System’s in-house, home-grown HRIS, which will save time and effort at both the campus and system levels. This integration technology will also be able to be deployed across the SUNY system, amplifying the impact.
PeopleAdmin Diversity & Inclusion Excellence Award
Finally, PeopleAdmin’s D&I Excellence Award honors a higher education leader who has developed and implemented groundbreaking policy, procedure or programs that support a diverse and inclusive campus. The 2021 award went to Joseph B. Pettiford, Jr., Associate Vice President of HR at Howard Community College. Congratulations, Joseph!
Under Joseph’s HR leadership, the Howard college community has worked to increase its graduation rate within two years of entry of first-time-to-college students by 168%, and tripled the graduation rates for first-time-to-college Black/African American and Hispanic/Latino students within two years of entry. To support these DEI initiatives, Joseph envisioned a way to build the DEI experience into Howard Community College’s PeopleAdmin ATS. Creating a specific experience for DEI Representatives as a user group so they can record and give credit to each person who serves the DEI initiatives allows Howard to track and ensure DEI Initiatives are upheld and an active part of the employment process.
